Author Guidelines
Authors are expected to follow the writing guidelines outlined below. For convenience, authors are encouraged to use the Social Impact Report Journal (SIRJ) manuscript template. The writing guidelines cover both the format and content of the manuscript.
1. Manuscript
The manuscript should be prepared using word-processing software, particularly Microsoft Word, and submitted in DOC or DOCX format. The manuscript may be written in either Indonesian or English, following the applicable grammar and spelling conventions of the respective language. The manuscript should use A4 paper size with a top margin of 3 cm and left, right, and bottom margins of 2 cm. The article should contain a minimum of 5 pages, from the article title and author information to the references. Other formatting requirements are described in the following sections.
2. Article Identity
The main title should be written in Indonesia using Calibri font, 16 pt, bold, left-aligned, with single spacing, and in Sentence case. The subtitle should be written in Indonesia using Calibri font, 11 pt, italic, left-aligned, with single spacing, and in Sentence case.
Author names should be written in bold using Calibri font, 11 pt. Author names should be separated by commas. If there is more than one author, superscript numbers should be placed after each author's name according to their respective affiliations, with an asterisk (*) indicating the corresponding author. If all authors share the same affiliation, the affiliation only needs to be listed once, without numbers before the affiliation or after the authors' names. The corresponding author does not necessarily have to be the first author. The corresponding author's email address should be provided below the affiliation.
3. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should be provided in two languages: Bahasa Indonesia and English. The abstract should use Calibri font.
The Indonesian abstract should be 11 pt, regular, concise, and clear. The English abstract should be 10 pt, italic, concise, and clear. The abstract should include the research background or urgency, research objectives, a brief description of the methodology, key findings, and conclusion.
The abstract should contain 150–200 words, or up to 250 words if necessary. Citations, references, and footnotes are not permitted in the abstract. The abstract should be followed by a maximum of five keywords.
4. Introduction
Each section heading should use Calibri font, 11 pt, bold, UPPERCASE, left-aligned, and without numbering.
The introduction should use Calibri font, 11 pt, justified alignment. The first line of each paragraph should be indented by 1 cm, except for the first paragraph of each section, which should not be indented. Line spacing should be single, with 0 pt before and after, and regular font style.
The introduction should systematically discuss the research problem, potential, and proposed solution. Each statement should be supported by relevant references, particularly journal articles and other relevant sources. Previous research relevant to the study should also be discussed. Based on the proposed solution, the research objectives should be stated in the final paragraph of the introduction.
5. Research Method
The research method should provide information regarding the type of research, research procedures, data collection techniques, data analysis techniques, and any additional information considered necessary.
The research method should be presented clearly and does not require references because it describes the application of the research procedures. If categorization is used, it should be presented in the form of a table. If statistical codes are used, sufficient information should be provided to explain the meaning of those codes.
6. Results and Discussion
The Results and Discussion should be presented in a single section and should not be separated into individual Results and Discussion sections.
If the research findings consist of several main topics, numbered subsections may be used, with each subsection presenting both the results and their corresponding discussion.
Research findings should be presented in tables and may also include graphs or figures with numbered captions. Captions should use Calibri font.
Table captions should be 11 pt, bold, center-aligned, with single spacing and 6 pt after. Figure and graph captions should be 10 pt, bold, center-aligned, with single spacing and 6 pt before and after.
Tables should be presented in an open format. Table headings should be 10 pt, bold, center-aligned, with single spacing and no spacing before or after. Table contents should use the same font size but regular (non-bold) formatting. Table contents may be center-aligned when they consist of only one or a few words, or left-aligned when they contain longer sentences.
Figures should be displayed at a maximum width of half the manuscript width, while ensuring that all information within the figure remains clearly visible.
7. Conclusion
The conclusion should address the research objectives and demonstrate how the findings provide a solution to the research problem. The conclusion should consist of one paragraph using concise and clear sentences.
Further discussion that goes beyond the results and discussion should not be included. Citations are not permitted in this section. The conclusion should reflect the key findings of the research.
8. Acknowledgments (Optional)
The acknowledgments section may be used to recognize institutions that provided sponsorship or funding, as well as specific individuals or research team members who contributed to the study. General acknowledgments should be avoided.
If there are no acknowledgments, this section may be omitted.
9. References
References should be prepared according to the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th Edition Style.
At least 80% of the references should come from primary sources, such as conference proceedings or scientific journals, published within the last five years.
References should use a 0.5 cm hanging indentation (the second and subsequent lines are indented), justified alignment, Calibri font, 11 pt, and single spacing.
